I rented from my local Hertz. I arrived to pick up my reserved car and they told me there were no cars but if I came back in a couple hours there would probably be one. Probably? When I came back they did have a car but it smelled like cigarettes and hadn't been cleaned. It was awful. I would literally never rent from here again.

I will NEVER book through Hertz again - did not have compact car only mini van for $100 up charge then laughed at me when I said they should give me that vehicle for compact price because as the consumer that’s not my problem. Called head office and they were no better. All staff interactions were rude, condescending and lackadaisical. The guy Brian at the rental center hung up the phone on me. They left me stranded and alone - awful company......
