Next time you fly to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), ensure you get to the places you want to see – without waiting for buses and taxis – when you reserve a cheap car rental.
With a cheap car rental from CarRentals.com, you can see the 'City of Angels' at your own pace without going over the vacation budget. To get the best deal on a rental car, make sure to:

Follow the signage to your terminal's Baggage Claim, collect your bags, and step outside. This is where you will meet the rental car company shuttles, which will take you to your preferred car rental provider within 5 to 15 minutes. While the rental car companies have representatives and kiosks on the airport property, the vehicles are all located on off-site lots. LAX is only 16 miles from downtown Los Angeles, so you'll be on your way to fun in the California sun in no time.
Yes. Your car or credit card insurance may cover car rental, so check with your provider. As a US citizen, you can purchase insurance at the CarRentals.com checkout or from therentalcompany.
Bring your driver's license and your credit card. If there are any additional drivers, they will need to show their license, too.
Your vehicle will likely come with a full-to-full policy; be sure to fill up the tank before returning the rental to avoid additional fees.

Southern California is a driving state, which means your rental car is your key to getting around. If you want to see more, and have a large travel party, why not grab yourselves an SUV and take it down to Seal Beach, where you can walk on the pier and do some eating and shopping on Main Street. Or, if you're visiting LA with the kids, bring them to Disneyland®, which is located in the city of Anaheim, about 25 miles south of the downtown area.
When you’re ready to head home, return your rental car to its company. The shuttle will bring you back to LAX terminals. Should you wish to take a more direct route to the airport, you can book a one-way car rental, drop the vehicle off at a location close to your hotel, and then take a taxi to LAX. Additionally, if you’ve rented your vehicle from an off-site agency, you may need to make additional arrangements to get to the tarmac.
When the airport was founded in 1928, it was named Mines Field, and had only one hangar. Today, LAX has nine terminals and is one of the busiest airports in the world, serving millions of passengers and more than 60 airlines. If you have some time to relax before your flight, browse the duty free shops or pick up a book or magazine at one of the newsstands. You may also want to sip a cup of tea, get a cookie for the flight, or enjoy a deli sandwich during your downtime. The airport has also set up several art exhibits throughout the terminals for visitors to admire.
