My experience with this company was not that good, firstly I found the counter person indifferent and pushy, then the car I was given was a Diesel, I have never driven this kind of car and was NOT told that this type of car required a fuel additive and half way through my journey this additive ran out and the car would not start without it. A new car was provided for me but not after being stranded for 6 hours. Another thing that bothered me was that they do not offer unlimited miles, but if you do want them, you need to pay an additional $20 a day for it. Also they calculate the amount of miles one is going to drive for the duration of the rental and charge .55 for every mile over the calculated miles driven

Rental pick up is a long shuttle ride from the SFO car rentals. I wouldn’t recommend.

I had an issue with the charge on my rental bill. I contacted customer service and they were very professional and resolved the issue.

All the other car rental companies were full of people. There was no one at the Thrifty counter waiting for a vehicle. I asked for a courtesy upgrade and was told that it would not be a problem. Later I got my credit card bill and instead of a $78 fee they charged me $275.

Dents/scratches all around. Inside looked clean until making a turn and you hear something under your seat. Engine oil was low so while riding it sounded bad.

My experience was awful. Me and my granddaughter had to squeeze in a mini van with 1 in a half back seat. Then once we arrived to get the vehicle it was a surprise hold on our credit card of 200. dollars. When we dropped the vehicle off and got on the shuttle bus, the driver sat in his seat and watched me load up my heavy luggage, my daughters, granddaughter and her guide dog luggage. The I had to get back off to assist my daughter and her guide dog onto the van, the entire time he sat there and then when another passenger whom were of his race entered the van he conversed with them as if we didn't exist. I would never rent from Advantage again, even if the price was 1.00 dollar a day.
