Excellent pricing, efficient, friendly staff, and a simple walk from the terminal across a two lane street to pick up the car. Everything's great, right? No so fast, dear reader/renter! I was given a 2019 Malibu, so new (less than 8000 at the time of drop off) its satellite radio subscription was still intact. Again, that's great, correct? Well, it would have been if I didn't receive a vehicle with an obviously cracked windshield, which is an equipment violation where I'm from (Metro Detroit). There was also a very noticeable dent in the upper panel of the driver's side door and fascia issues on the passenger's front panel. That seemed a little weird, but we noted the damage with photos and left the lot. Apparently, the south is a place of trust and good feelings because I did not have to stop at a check-point to leave the lot or have the damage we noted noted by anyone from Hertz. Again, this is strange, but maybe that's something that doesn't happen in the south (although it happens in the Southwest, the West Coast, and territories in which I've rented a car). The car is wonderful all weekend - nice ride, the above-mentioned satellite radio, and great gas mileage. All is well - and then we go to return the car. For whatever reason, despite it being 7:45 PM on a late February Sunday night, there are no attendants in the Hertz section. Again, this is strange, but no worries, but I wanted to have someone confirm the damage and the level of gas in the car. Too bad, so sad. I also can't find a pen so I ask the workers at the adjoining stand (which I believe was Avis). Not only do these people ignore me, when I finally trap one of the two men working - the first of whom literally kept talking to someone as I stood next to them for five minutes straight, waiting for a break in a conversation about Nascar - he's incredibly annoyed that I ask to borrow his pen since he "only has this one." I cannot be the only person who has buried the one pen she has in the bottom of her purse. I find my pen, write down the mileage, date, level of gas in the tank, and date it. My companion realizes there's actually someone at the desk right before I drop the key and the paperwork into the Hertz bin, so we go in. The lovely associate simply asks if I've written down the mileage, which I confirm, and tells me to have a nice night. While my pricing was excellent ($126 for four days, including insurance, for a mid-size car is AMAZING), the whole thing was v-e-r-y strange, especially for someone who rents at least six cars a year while on business.

The people at enterprise were very nice but could not get me the size vehicle I asked for which was a nissan pathfinder. I even told them I would pay the difference for a bigger vehicle but all they could put me in was a nissan murano. This is a smaller vehicle all together. 1st the tried to give us a Hyundai Santa feed. Even smaller. Had to fight to get the Murano. Also vehicle was not ready at the time.
