We had a specific need for a Pacifica, not a Voyager. I went to the location on Wednsday prior to the pickup date and the counter man marked on their board to do everything possible to meet our needs and suggested I call back on Friday. I went back to the office on Friday about 1 hour prior to closing for the weekend to ensure that the Pacifica was still there and would be ready for us early Monday morning. At that time they notified me that they could not give us the Pacifica becasue it had an expired license plate. It turns out that the plate was expired when the reservation was made and when I followed up on it too. I felt that they took the reservation in a fraudulent manner and that I could have rented a Pacifica from another agency. When we came to pick up the car, of course it was a 2019 Voyager with nearly 40,000 miles on it. Then they said we not only had to pay a damage deposit, which we understood, but they also wanted to charge for the rental too. We had paid in advance for the rental and did not owe any more rental fees. There was no time to argue so we took the car and went on our trip. Upon our return they would not accept tthat the rental had been paid in full and charged us again for the rental. They gave us a brochure with a phone number ofr Hertz Customer Relations and that was the end of what they would do. They said the problem was that we had two reservations. Both were in their system but they chose the one that did not reflect payment in advance. Even now they will not honor that advance payment and now leave it to us to fight it out with Hertz at their home office.

I reserved online so was relieved when everything was in place when I arrived a few hours early. It was a matter of minutes until the car was ready and I could leave for various locations in Florida before turning it in at the Orlando International Airport.
