I was told I no longer had a car because my delayed flight caused me to be 90 minutes later than scheduled. The counter staff proceeded to tell me that the car I reserved was going to cost $350 instead of the $219 I reserved it for even when I had a printed copy of my reservation. He ended up giving me a smaller car for the reserved price but this took an extra 45 minutes at the counter. Was NOT HAPPY!!!!

We made reservations in advance online. We arrived at the airport and took the shuttle to the car rental area. There was a line at the rental counter and they had two agents at the counter. We waited for 40 minutes and just as we were the next customer to be served, one of the service reps closed down and we had to wait another 15 minutes to check in. The rep that finally checked us in lied about the price of gas so that we paid for a full tank of gas. He advised us that the gas in San Diego was $4.75 to $5.15 a gallon. In reality we found that most stations were selling regular gasoline for under $3.90 a gallon. We purchased the gas option for over $38.00. We ended up using only 1/4 of the gas we had purchased! Also, we purchased the insurance as we were told that if we were in an at fault accident that our insurance would not pay for the loss of rental fee for our rental car while it was being repaired. I was told by my insurance company that this was not true. Unless the rental car company could prove that the car we rented would have been rented for the entire time it was being repaired, they would not have had to reimburse them for the rental fee. The initial cost per day was $7.50 a day. By the time we were done we ended up paying over $60.00 per day.
