We had travel insurance covering any excess if in an accident, but got the impression by handover staff that we would be up for full cost of care if the car was a “write off”, so we paid for top cover to Enterprise. I feel there needs to be more clarity where insurance is concerned as we double insured ourselves feeling we were pressured. Result we paid 30% more than we expected. Also more time needed to explain peculiarities of the car - eg ensuring customer fully understands hybrid cars and silent engines.

I have rented from most of the major agencies at LHR and it has always been a frustrating experience with long waits in the office to pick up my car as well as attempts to up sell me with options I didn’t want or a larger car. Not so with Enterprise. I will definitely use them again.
