It would have been helpful to have someone show us the car and it’s interior as it’s an unfamiliar car. we didn’t realise there was more boot space TIL at the end of the rental. Hence we had to squeeze a little in the rear seats.

very expensive as inadvertently booked through American site and forced to take out their extra insurance even though had own car rental insurance. Even more expensive to cancel and take out rental on the spot I was told!

I did not have my passport so I had to wait until someone was able to bring me my passport to rent the car. By the time I went back in line with my passport, they had already given my reserved car away. They said another car (upgraded to Mercedes A class) would be available in 30-40 minutes. We had to wait at LCY at a cafe and after coming back in an hour, the car was still not ready. It then took another half hour to set up the paperwork and they made us provide proof of our credit card's CDW coverage. This all could've been done while we were waiting for the car to be ready yet instead we had to wait another hour. We were supposed to pick up the car at 10:30am and didn't leave until 2pm....
