I had documents to provide enough ID verification to enable me to rent a car from Hertz but nothing satisfied this Hertz employee. He refused to consider anything I had or suggested, nor could he be bothered to confer with his colleague. My children were stranded and I had no way of picking them up without hiring a car, and there was no one available I could call for help, there was just no time. If I could have predicted that this person was going to be so incredibly unhelpful I would've organized back up in advance, I would have had time, but this person let me walk out of the Hertz office in floods of tears over my children being stranded and I could not get to them. I didn't know what to do, and even though this person told me that I would not be able to rent a car anywhere I decided to at least try Enterprise which was a block away. I walked in there, explained the situation and they immediately said that there was no problem whatsoever, that what I had was within policy rules and 10 minutes later I was in an Enterprise rental on my way to pick up my children. I was very late, but I was on my way. I will never ever go near Hertz rental again purely because of the kind of staff they hire. This staff member was incredibly rude, uncaring, and downright lazy and should not be hired to work anywhere, not even cleaning toilets.
