I had a reservation but unforseen circumstances I was late...so the car was released to someone else. No call or email. I get that they were busy and I was late. They said they didn't have my contact info. I would have liked to have known the car cannot be held for more than an hour at booking so I could have been more accurate with my reservation time.
Carrentals could have been more clear or put that information in a more viewable spot when reserving.
I made another reservation online for another location....but I called in advance so i didnt show up without inventory. Surprise they didn't have anything available either.
I went back to carrentals.com and both locations still showed availabilities online. I called customer service and they couldn't help.
Both locations were trying to get me a car, the Hertz staff was friendly and seemed to be doing what they could and just following policies....it wasn't until I called back that there was a car expected back soon....I had to call to check in and luckily my foot work turned out to get me a car. They had a car....it was not the same class that I reserved. I needed a trunk and some comfort and got a hatchback. I took it because I was desperate but still paid the same price. I was not given the compact pricing.
8:30am reservation. I got a car by 2:15pm
The communication between renal and reservation is not seemless and caused much frustration.
