I had a rental booked with another company who had no cars to fulfill their bookings. So I made a new booking with Payless and went to the counter. Turns out we should have just walked up but the agent there was very nice and forced our reservation through immediately. When the car smelled like smoke the agent in the garage provided a replacement with no issue. Aside from the upcharge - because our class of car was unavailable - it was all great service

This place is AWEFUL!! They are like this HIGH-END rental company with RIDICULOUS requirements. Not even the more well know rental places have these dumb demads.

When we initially started to get our rental car, we were issued a 2019 Nissan Sentra, it had dents and dings all over, and the tires were as bald as racing slicks on a race car, very unsafe, so our first impression was not a good one, however after going back in and speaking with the desk agent he made things right and put us in a much safer and better maintained car (2020 Ford Edge). We were pleased with the decision they made to accommodate our car. But for the future, I truly hope they do a better job of inspecting their vehicles prior to putting them out as available. I will give them another chance to keep our business, as long as the vehicle is safe. (The condition review below is for the original vehicle we were given)
