So, while I was running behind I called to inform them that I was still coming for my rental. The rep Jessica kept insisting that I booked my rental on a weekend when clearly the email read Monday first mistake. Secondly, the rep told me that they didn't have any mini van at the location when I booked my reservation 3 days in advance. Mind you that I was suppose to pick vehicle up at 8:30am that day. So, the rep calls me back to say I don't know what I was thinking we do have a available at this time its 10:30ish. I asked what they can do to make up for lost time she offer Sirius radio (it already comes equipped with the rental in the first place) and I let her know that. In the end nothing was credited to my account for the inconvenience. They are the worst ones to deal with on Blackstock rd. in Spartanburg, SC

I reserved a car giving my card info and phone number....arrived there was no car available....said they didn't have my number to call me but number was required to make reservation...no apology, no attempt to refer me to another Hertz location or another company...same thing happened to me at this office some time back...I am sending a message about this to my 3000 linkedin contacts and to my fellow 10000 SC real estate association members

I arrived at 8:30 am to pick up the vehicle I reserved days in advance. When I got there I was very abruptly told my rental was not available and I would have to wait until noon. I explained to the agent that this was not acceptable as I have a 12 hour ride back to NJ and needed to be back to return to work the following day. Having to wait til noon would not get me home until midnight. She told me there was nothing she would do. I asked her why couldn't she upgrade us if the car we reserved was not available, she said she had no vehicles available. (There were 5 cars sitting in her lot, a later reservations car should have been available to accommodate my reservation). I requested to speak with the manager, I was told she wasn't there and was given a business card with her name on it. I asked the agent her name as a reference, because I didn't want to be charged, she would not provide it. I then asked for something in writing stating that I did not take the car, and all I could get was something written on the business card.She told me that was all she could do. We ended up having to go to Avis, who had no problem accommodating by reservation with just minutes notice. We went to carentals.com, still in the Hertz parking lot and vehicles were immediately available to rent at this location, yet I was told not for us. I asked the agent why no one contacted me, she said she tried to call me, then told me there was no phone number available. This caused me to leave considerably later than I needed to, and was a major inconvenience for no
apparent reason other than she did not want to rent to us. The rudeness we received, and the apparent lack of customer service skills at this location is a disgrace, and I would highly recommend them removed from your service.
