I took the rental with Hertz because it appeared to be good value. However, unlike other rentals, I was asked to pay over £50 to reduce the liability to £1000 (normally this is where it starts from without any extra payments). The car pick-up was fine but, on drop off, there was nobody in attendance and I was told that I would be sent the receipt by email. 24h later and no receipt received. Will not use this service again.
By the way, car was nice (except unbalanced from tyres). Pity about everything else.

Booked on the website and it clearly said that I would have £60 to pay for the rental of 4 days. However on collection I was informed that this did not include any insurance and that would cost an extra £33 per day i.e. Over £130 more than I was expecting to pay. I was told that the car would not need be released until this was paid. Your website really needs to make this clear. The price being quoted is the one customers should expect to pay.

They charged me for minor scratches on the rear view mirror casing that I did not cause.
