I called the 800 number to extend my date for the car. It was a disaster. The Customer Service lady sounded Asiatic and spoke very poor English She actually told me that to extend a 4 day rental and move it to 7 days would cost a total of $750, when my original 4 days were for $116. I told her she sounded like she didn't know what she was talking about. she terminated the conversation and I was left hanging. I had to drive about 7 miles and went to the Hertz place where I picked the car up. They heard me and straightened out the situation to my satisfaction. I have been renting with Hertz from 1969.

Called to confirm my reservation before arriving and was told they didn’t have any cars. They suggested I try the airport location. Went to the airport and they too were out of vehicles. Although I was offered a 15 passenger van, I had no other options. Returned the van the next day, it was just too large to drive around town. I was charged a 1 day rate for a 15 passenger van $179.00. That was more than my weekly reservation rate. they said there was nothing the could do, call the 800#. Currently disputing the charges.
