Day before rental I was called and told that they did not have a cargo van available. This put me in a bind as I needed the van to move my son to college

A few hours before I was due to pick up a cargo van that I reserved days ahead of time I was informed that they didn't have it. If it wasn't for me calling to ensure that everything was good to go I would have driven a half an hour for nothing. They didn't call to inform me, they didn't suggest an alternative to fix this problem. The worse experience I have ever had.
