My experience was very unpleasant. I called to confirm I could change the date by one day and was told I could, but when I arrived I was told I could not. The agent did not check with the firm to make sure and I was left waiting for an hour and a half with them trying to clear up the matter. After about one hour an agent from the back came in the front and started making suggestions. This is way too long to make a customer wait for a mistake by the local agent. It seems as if the customer should come first, which it did not, not even with corporate. I also canceled the insurance with a third-party and it took five minutes The return was excellent, only taking about 10 minutes.

I used carentals to book a Hertz car, and used the recommended carentals insurance. I was disappointed to learn that the n-line insurance didn't cover third party indemnity, so I took out the additional Hertz insurance - in total the insurance cost as much as the car!

All the Hertz folks were courteous and well-trained. The Chevy Malibu has one of those gas-saving engines that partially shuts down when you're stopped, idling. When you want to begin moving it hesitates just a little. It's annoying, and if you're accustomed to quick response, it will frustrate you.
