When I was on my way to my destination, My rental got a flat tire. There was a piece of wood in the tire and no one noticed it before they gave me this rental vehicle. I called roadside assistance for thrifty and they wanted to charge me $75 for someone to come out and put on the spare tire. Roadside assistance was supposed to call me back but I never received a call To let me know where I can take the vehicle to get another tire on it. I had to drive on the spare tire back to Norfolk Airport to switch out the vehicle. This set me back a day. I asked the counter staff to see if they could take off a day and she told me she could not take off one of the rental days because I pre-paid for the rental.

This was a very good value, just disappointed that we did not get the Quest I thought I was reserving. We got a Grand Caravan that did not have a bench seat in the middle row, and smaller storage space.

When I came to pick up the vehicle I was told there was not one even though I reserved it. Very disappointing. Agent told me they don’t have enough runners to bring vehicles. This was on a Monday evening, not the busiest day. I reserved an suv and had to settle for a car as I had a Naval engagement to be at and couldn’t be that late or miss it. This was Dollar/Thrifty and next time I’ll try someone else. Never had a problem with Enterprise, I should have just used them.
