When I picked up the car at the Rome airport the counter agent reviewed the items included in the contract (itemized in Italian). I declined the insurance. I was given a lot of paperwork but not given a copy of the contract. When I received the invoice I saw that I was charged Full Damage Protection. I filed for a refund. Europcar responded by sending a copy of the contract (in Italian) and a copy of the invoice (in English). By comparison, you could see where the insurance had been included on the contract. Europcar stated that because it was on the contract and It is therefore assumed that your signature corresponds to the acceptance of all the information provided that there would be no refund. While my signature is on the contract for particular consents, it turns out that it was not included on the line that I had accepted the general terms and conditions of hire. In any case, I believe this was a deceptive action to collect additional money for the auto rental.
Other than that the service was good and the car performed well.

I ordered a vehicle with GPS included. Europcar was not available when I arrived, so gave me a vehicle without GPS + a GPS to put in the vehicle. Except that the GPS did not work when I wanted to use it (no GPS signal). I had to use my cell phone to navigate, and out of package. It is unacceptable. If I do not have a refund, the next one sees I'll go elsewhere
