If you are not a gold member they didn't really seem to care

Hertz is usually a 5 star experience as a gold plus member. But in Rome it was the worst car rental experience across the board. We arrived and they didn’t have our car ready. We had to wait for 90 min. When it arrived the car was so badly damaged it shouldn’t have even been rented out.

It was a quiet Saturday evening at Marseille and it was an easy pick up. Next morning i realized the electrical outlet wasn’t working and i couldn’t charge my GPS. We need the GPS to travel. I called saturday -oct 06 and the staff was EXTREMELY RUDE. She told me it wasn’t their problem if the electrical outlet doesn’t work. She told me: don’t come back to the airport, we won’t change your car. She said there is no supervisor on a sunday but i insisted and she said: call after 4.00 pm. She refused to give me her name and then she just hang up on me. Nice staff saturday night and a horrible experience on the phone. She didn’t offer me any solution to my problem. And the second problem is i rented an Fiat panda and i was given a Peugeot 108. I am almost sure this is smaller then the Fiat panda but they told me this is the same size. This is the 3rd year we rent with Hertz and the last time.
