I had reserved a ford escape.and because there where some internal issues with employees not understanding some issues going on they put me and my husband in a 12 passenger van .hard to park at all hotels we stayed at and gas wow. I am really disappointed .

The Fort Lauderdale international Airport Avis/Budget operation is a mess! Despite having months old reservations, vehicles (2 mini-vans) were NOT ready for pick-up resulting in a delay of over an hour. Attempts to gain updates from personnel working in the garage were met with an extended arm, a shake of the head and a quick departure from the employees. There were no supervisors manning the outside office. After 45 mins, returned to the inside counter, found lines with confused customers trying to figure out what line to go in or who to talk to. Eventually spoke to a representative at inside counter who informed me the vehicles were being washed. On return, was informed that they were not issuing paper invoices and it would be e-mailed, 48 hours later, no invoice. If this were my command of this group were in my employ and this is an example of their operation, would fire/demote all management personnel and retrain all line personnel in basic customer service. Additionally, USB chargers in front seats did not function.
