This rental car experience was very unpleasant. First you had to wait over 20 minutes to get picked up at the airport to be driven to the rental car location. 3 rental car shuttles past the large crowd of people waiting to get shuttled to their rental car companies. Finally getting on board the shuttle taken to the rental car center. At Avis I had to wait another 40 minutes to get to the counter to begin getting my rental car. Avis only had two agents working behind the desk. After finally getting to the counter and the agent pulling up my reservation, I told her I declined the insurance coverage as my own personal auto insurance would have me fully covered, however she charged me anyway and then had to take it off from the contract. The vehicle was clean and nice however when I went to exit the rental car lot the agent at the gate did not want to assist me. As I did not know I was in the exit lane for preferred members. He made me back up and use the other exit even though there were no other cars present at the time. Upon returning the car, I filled up the gas tank full showed the receipt to the agent, but was still charged a gas refueling fee when I looked at the bill. So again I had to go back to the rental car counter to have it adjusted. What a horrible experience this was the only saving grace was the vehicle itself.

Some aspects of my experience were much less than fantastic.
