Car was great. Clerk was great. Car cleaning solution was awful!

Although the pick-up location was convenient- the process seemed difficult - the agent couldn’t explain the difference in charges. I had to go around the counter and find out why the difference in pricing. To add injury to insult - the vehicle was not what I ordered (smaller baggage capacity) and the vehicle was absolutely filthy inside and out. Couldn’t even see scratches as there was mud and dirt up to the handles of the doors and the inside had garbage, crumbs and dirty seats. Although I complained, they still acted as though there was no issue And requested my signature. I said no - this needs to be cleaned or I’m not renting it. I made my way over to the airport to see if AVIS could help me there. They declined saying they could not - but if I signed for the vehicle and brought it over - they might be able to help. I retuned to the offsite location and they had washed the vehicle and vacuumed it. It was better but not of the quality I have ever experienced in a rental. Because of my tight travel itinerary- I had to reluctantly take the vehicle and start my travel. This was a trip for my fathers 80th birthday and I paid over $600 for a disgusting vehicle and bad service - not a great way to start. My answer to this is never again as I had no rights or options!
