When I checked out I was given a bill of $114 compared to the original $40 quote I think given. When I questioned why rate was so high I was told I was charged for an upgraded car which I didn’t ask for but given because there were no more economy cars available. When I explained this to the checker she told me to stop yelling at her and that I had to go inside and speak with the counter person. When I spoke with the counter person who had also checked me out the day before I told her she charged me $65 per tank a gas and then I specifically asked if I’d only be charged for the number Gallons used. She said it doesn’t work this way. My reply was that you should’ve answered the question I asked and that she missed lead me. She then gave me a $30 credit for the gas. I should’ve only paid about $15 but I had to give up because I was getting nowhere with her.

I rented 1-way from Ontario CA to Phoenix AZ. The car was a dream to drive. The only ‘negative’ — and no one is to blame — is that I hoped to turn the car in in the Phoenix area SOMEWHERE OTHER THAN THE AIRPORT, which is a huge mess since it’s still under construction. Alamo’s drop charge to turn in elsewhere DOUBLED the cost of the rental. But they don’t deserve a ding for that — I got a 1-way dream car for peanuts, so it was a home run.
