The good part is that the Alamo staff was really nice. The parts I did not like... 1. There was not clear signage to show what shuttle was for Alamo. I waited for 5 minutes then had to ask Avis, Hertz, and Enterprise before I found the right shuttle. 2. While it was nice that I received an upgrade sine Alamo did not have my car. However it was smaller than what I had reserved and it caused me to make extra trips. I understand these issues come up, but generally when I am upgraded it is to a larger vehicle not smaller. I am an ex-Hertz customer and am looking for my next rental company. I dont want to give the impression that this was an overall negative experience, but nothing stood out to make me want to use Alamo exclusively from now on.

I did get a better price with carrentals.com but had a hard time reaching them during travels and Alamo ( always available) could not help me only car rentals.com could. Then when I got through, the customer rep was great but he advised to leave rental the same ( which I did) but when I returned the car, the person at the desk said the rental was changed and tried to charge me more. I had the email from the customer rep so they couldn’t charge me more. But using third parties often makes things complicated. Btw be prepared: rentals are very expensive right now!

Check In agent was fantastic. I think John. Alamo is fortunate to have that employee
