No one said from car rentals.com I needed to use a credit card vs. debit card...specifically you said I could use a debit card! Nor, did you forewarn me or advise me they would require a $200 deposit on my credit card only! I drove there to pick up my car, they (Hertz) could find agreed upon price on my receipt...they looked into their system and finally located it! They said they could take my debit card only a credit card. My credit card didn't have enough room left to pay the $457.00 they wanted. It had only $413 available...in my debit account I had $4719 available, and I also was carrying over $900 in cash (which they could not accept). So, after several attempts calling my credit card company & bank, I was NOT able to resolve!!!!! Customer service at bank waiting time was over 50 minutes!!!!!!! Therefore, I could not rent vechicle until next day, after my credit card payment cleared bank!!!!! I had to leave drive all the way home, pick my kids up from school an hour late...then return next morning to rent car at same price!!!!! Horrible, horrific experience!!!!

When we arrived an hour early we were advised the only car available was a compact. We booked a mid size to ensure we had room for our new grandchildren’s car seat and adult in back. We were not able to do this due to the size in back. We did not want to wait since it sounded like it would be much longer to get a car due to all cars were getting oil changes. The representative was very nice and gave a credit however The car we got was definitely not a top of the line car you would give to anyone that might have booked direct with hertz. If I had, I believe I would have received the car I had requested and it would have been there when I arrived.
