As soon as we went to pick up, we were given the choice to pay for their insurance (hertz) or put a hold/deposit of $1000 on our credit card. Under-handed and shady!

They charged me more than what I had on my reservation and did not want to accept the insurance I bought online. I am still on vacation for the next week, but once I’m back home I will definitely reach out to you about this terrible experience in Cancun. They wasted more than one hour of my day

Using Carrentals.com was easy, but actually getting my car at the Hertz location in Cancun was awful. I tried to decline coverage at least 10-15 times. I asked for the manager twice and ultimately got nowhere. The end result was that they charged me roughly $120 more than I paid on Carrentals.com. Then before getting the car they sent multiple people to us to try and sell time shares. The experience was extremely frustrating to say the least.
