To pick up the car I had to go downtown over an hour away to pick up car. Airport shuttle did not take me there so I had to find my own transportation with heavy luggage to get to the car rental. Same for return of car, had to get Uber to drive me to the airport from downtown LA.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with an Enterprise Rental. The requested vehicle was not ready when I arrived. I asked about several other vehicles since the one I requested was not ready and was told that they were being reserved for customers. This was the end of the day, so I found that hard to believe. The customer service representative that was assisting me left and went to assist another customer. Needless to say, the customer service was horrible. And to top it off, once we got in the vehicle, the oil change light was on. This was not a pleasant experience at all.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get a Los Angeles Enterprise car rental at a great price?

CarRentals.com always tries to get you the best price, no matter when you book. But reserving ahead of time can help you save even more. Make sure to read the mileage policy and keeping it to one driver will reduce your expense.

Do I need to bring anything special when I pick up my vehicle in Los Angeles?

Be sure to bring credit card, as well as your driver's license.

What is the minimum age to rent a car in Los Angeles?

Enterprise's minimum age to rent a car in Los Angeles is 21. Make sure to check Enterprise's policy, as there may be limitations if you are under 25 in most cases or for higher category vehicles in particular.

What kind of Enterprise rental car should I get for my trip to Los Angeles?

That depends on how many people you are traveling with and what activities you want to do in Los Angeles. For bigger cities, like Los Angeles, you may find navigating and parking easier in a smaller car. Commute times in Los Angeles are close to 43 minutes, so you may find a mid-size car or SUV provides a more comfortable ride. If you want to decrease your emissions and save on gas, then opt for a hybrid vehicle. If you are looking to get the most out of your trip near Los Angeles's coast, then go for a convertible for some fun under the sun.

Is insurance required when you rent a car in the United States?

You are required to have insurance before you rent in the United States. Many of the major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover) generally provide some coverage. However, many of them have limitations, such as not covering bigger vehicles, like trucks or SUVs. It is best to find out by calling your credit card company to find out what kind of coverage is offered before you head to Los Angeles. Additionally, as a United States citizen, you can add on Collision Damage Coverage through CarRentals.com at checkout.

Does Enterprise require a deposit at the time of booking my rental car?

Enterprise requires a deposit when you book your rental car. Enterprise will block the deposit on your credit once you reserve your car for your trip. Please note that the deposit can vary greatly based on the make and model of the car.

Do I have to return my Enterprise rental with a full tank?

We recommend a full to full policy. You receive the vehicle topped off. But, if you return the rental with less than the amount that you received it with, most companies will charge a premium, and sometimes up to 3X the amount of current gas prices to refill it. For a cheaper rate, it is best to fill up your tank before you bring it back to Enterprise.

Do I need unlimited miles when I rent a car in Los Angeles?

Los Angeles is a large city, so there is going to be a lot to do. You may not want to worry about your miles if you are planning to head toward the shore or spend a day at the beach.

Does Los Angeles Enterprise offer one-way car rentals?

Enterprise usually offers one-way rentals. You may find it more convenient to return your rental at another location. However, there may be an additional charge when you pick one-way.
