How does $25 a day suddenly double? Why, magical airport fees (why does a car getting picked up at an airport mean I pay an extra $100!?), and liability insurance that cost $17 a day!? These NEED to be weighed in when people search for cars. I spent overall $800 when I already thought $400 was too much. Also, the car itself had electrical problems. Sometimes the car wouldn’t start unless I banged the steering wheel while turning the key. Sometimes the remote didn’t work to unlock. Like, what am I paying for?

Our rental with Thrifty at San Diego International was not as expected. Had to wait over 20 minutes for Customer Service. Once we got to the counter we were told the insurance we purchased online wasn’t valid so we we’re forced to purchase new coverage. Once we got our. car & drove away we noticed a new receipt showing estimated charges of over $525 when the counter receipt showed $375. To top it all off, a hold over $730 was placed on our credit card. Worst rental experience ever!
