Hertz allows over-booking in combination with locally managed sites that contradict good global customer service. My personal situation, (family of 6) moving internationally with flight leaving VA on a Friday. Booked a minivan to drive from MI to VA on Wednesday for Thursday morning pickup. Booking and confirmation flawless and was impressed. Drove an hour to pickup the vehicle and was told none available until the next week. Now its also the start of a holiday weekend and nobody had anything available with the exception of hertz website trying to let me book the vehicle again from the same location. Their on-site customer service was horrible and rude... more of a pack sand and to bad for your luck attitude. The phone customer service at least attempted to find something for me from other locations within 100 mile area then ended with telling me to use they're website for the most up to date information. Covid or not....I'm not surprised they are doing poorly financially. I DO NOT SUGGEST DOING BUSINESS WITH HERTZ OR DOLLAR.

Great rental experience with this supplier. Very nice vehicle. Very satisfied!!
