The check-in and out was very good. The car was very good, no complaints there, it was all I needed. However, I booked with them after I called the Charleston airport Hertz to ask if they did hotel pick up. I was told yes, and given a number to call them a day ahead of time to arrange a pick up time. I did that in the morning and left a message at the number given, I asked them to call the hotel back and let me know all was good. Getting back to the hotel, no message. After trying to contact them by phone, which failed badly, I was able to use the internet and they had someone call my room shortly after. So after wasting an hour or two of my last day to enjoy the city, they called and said they do not do pick up. So the next day, and $40 dollars in a cab ride later I got to the airport to pick up the car. I only went with Hertz because they said they would pick me up. I'm not pleased with the lost time and the cash out of my pocket.

I rented a Chevy Malibu and the car was high mileage for a rental, wasn’t very clean, and had multiple dents/scratches and was even missing part of the trunk liner so the seat release pulls were just hanging from the top of the trunk.
