All the arguments were found not to give us the reserved vehicle when we had all the requested parts. We rented a vehicle from another service provider. Also unwillingness on the part of autoescape who never wanted to reimburse.

We’ve used Budget many times and they have never failed us yet!

I have no complaints about Budget except for its roadside assistance. (I'd give Budget 5 stars generally but Budget Roadside assistance 1 star = which averages to 3) We experienced a flat tire while deep in Hawaii's Volcanoes National Park on Chain of Craters road not far from the ocean. There was no spare tire in the car - only a kit which can patch a simple hole in the tread area. Our problem was a hole in the tire sidewall which is not fixable that way. Our car required a tow and replacement. The Budget Roadside Assistance attendant who answered the phone was somewhere in the Continental U.S. and was completely unable to understand our predicament despite my careful descriptions. She was clearly just reading from script which did not apply. (For example, she kept wanting to know the street address number by the car's location, as though we were in a city location.) Our flat occurred near dusk and we were at risk of being marooned there all night. After maybe 30 minutes of frustration with this incompetent person I hung up and decided to call AAA the next morning if we could find a way out of the park. My wife flagged down one of the last tourists driving out of the area and they kindly drove us outside the park to where we were staying. The next morning I called AAA and used them to arrange a tow of the car back to the airport. BTW - when I talked to the local employees at the Hilo airport about my problem with Budget's Roadside Assistance , she apologized and acknowledged that she hears lots of customers complaining about them.
