From the bus driver to the counter person to the security guard and back to the check in girl. They were super friendly and they even told me that being a gold member is free now and that I can sign up online for it.

My experience with Hertz Kahului was first class - very efficient and prompt. After a long flight it was great to have such quick service and easy access to our rental car !

Right on to the clerk at first noticed I needed a bigger car due to the amount of luggage I had and then Sistah @ the check out was Awesome. Had a minor problem where the chair didn't recline & she had it switched out right away & they assisted with everything. Nice to see the locals in there & still giving the Aloha Spirit!

I had already taken out CDW insurance when i booked the car online. I had further cover under my travel insurance. But I could not take the car until i paid for more insurance at pick up! I did so only because I did not have time to organise another car at this stage. So despite the otherwise helpful; staff and good car i would recommend against using this company.

Nice experience with ACE. The agent was helpful and gave a free upgrade to Mustang Convertible.

Here are our recommendations on how to jump behind the wheel of a rental car with some extra cash in your pocket:

  • A car can take you wherever you want to go — so can the web. Compare the hottest deals from all the top rental companies in a couple of clicks;
  • By entering only your email address (and not your passport number, life history and dog's middle name) into our Price Drop Alert, you'll be informed of all the unbeatable prices for your location;
  • Research is the key to getting the best rental deals in town, so be sure to look into both airport and non-airport pickup and drop-off outlets before you splash cash on your ride;
  • You can often save a pretty penny if your plans are flexible. Look at different days and dates and find out what savings can be made;
  • Pickup and drop-off times generally need to be around the same time (e.g, both 10 a.m.) or you might be charged for an entire extra day;
  • Keep more cash in your bank account. You'll grab some of the thriftiest deals when you prepay your rental vehicle;
  • Don't let the deal you've been searching for slip through your fingers. Book as soon as possible and drive away with your ideal ride.
