My wife and I arrived in Ashville and had reserved and confirmed rental of a full sized pick-up truck (conformation # J25240994E0). We arrived at the Dollar rental desk to find a sign saying they were not open and to talk to another company one desk down. They told us no vehicles of any type were available due to their overbooking. We were finally to rent a car from Avis rental at an additional 140 dollars for three days. We have been traveling and renting vehicles for 37 years and this was a first. We should be compensated for this poor service. Dr. M

I ordered a car through Dollar and when I arrived at the counter I was redirected to Hertz. I had preordered a car similar to a Toyota Corolla and all I had to choose from was a Ford Fiesta and a Dodge Ram truck. Neither had GPS. The Fiesta had no power at all and difficult to merge into fast traffic on highways.

The webpage indicated the car would require a shuttle from the terminal. Fortunately, the Dollar counter was in the terminal. The counter was closed because we arrived about 8:30 PM. However, we were directed to the Hertz counter, who handled the checkout. It went smoothly, and we were pleased.
