We took the car to Cape Town Airport and traveled to Port Elizabeth as easily. Vehicle in very good condition and comfortable. We were 8 adults with a lot of luggage. Everything held. With the documents from Cardelmar everything goes very fast. The car was not fully fueled and was swapped immediately. Super. The return was very fast. Everything well signposted. Many helpful employees.

Originally, I chose First because of the good reviews, because we needed a smooth process and actually had to move on quickly. When comparing all my previous vehicle rentals (more than 100) I would definitely put this very far below. Upon arrival at the counter in Cape Town you were not informed about the extent of the booking (full insurance directly with First, 2nd driver included, delivery elsewhere), which led to the partial helplessness of the staff. Rented a Ford Ranger, we got a Nissan NP300, which is supposedly in the same class, but clearly less space offers (had in the 2nd week in JNB a ranger - absolutely not to compare). Had we been so tolerated, but the castle of the Canopy (loading space tower) was broken and the car useless for us, since we spent four days each day in a different accommodation and the luggage between them always in the car was (in advance also so communicated). After the complaint, we were told that there is no replacement vehicle in the class, although between 5-10 NP300 and Ranger stood in the First parking lots. As a problem solution we were offered to take the vehicle to a nearby workshop and exchange the canopy. All in all, we asked 4 employees, including their superiors, for help, but always the same lyre - they have to check something for a moment, disappear and simply disappear, without any information. After 1.5 hours waiting time, the vehicle was still on return. Only when I finally wanted to cancel the vehicle at the last employee in demand and aggressively made an effort that this does not deviate us from the side, he asked me for 10 minutes waiting time, that he himself takes care of the problem. After another 45 minutes and a total of almost 4 hours waiting at the counter, he finally brought a replacement vehicle (NP300 with working Canopy), which was the entire time already at the parking lot. No apology and despite commitment of the superiors, no partial refund or written apology. In return, we were charged a refueling batch, although we had filled up 4 km before submission. FINGERS away from this company, at least in Cape Town!
