We rented the car in Bedford instead of Boston and upon our arrival we were told about our mistake. The reps at Hertz were so rude and indifferent to our issue and they didn’t even try to help us. We ended taking uber to Bedford (45.00 ride each way) as we didn’t have any options. We recognized our mistake but at least they could’ve been more helpful and pretend they care. Don’t rent from Hertz in Boston airport, we will never do that again! Also we got a minivan because the car waiting for us smelled terrible, smoker vehicle, not our choice but that was the only vehicle they could offer

Was very unhappy with the condition of the car , it was very dirty and half full of gas.
Also.the survey regarding preexisting damage and customer satisfaction was done in a very shady and underhanded way.

I booked a car to pick up at a Boston airport, not knowing there was a private airport besides Logan. I called Hertz on the day I was to pick the car up to ask if it would be possible to pick it up at Logan or some other Boston area Hertz closer to where I was, and was told that Hertz was all sold out all over the city. Then the rep said that the airport Hertz I had booked and prepaid didn't allow walk ins as it was private, and that she'd have to cancel the reservation - for a $250 fee cancellation fee. So, I paid for it, but I cannot go get the car AND I have to pay a cancellation fee? Yes, she assured me. I asked her to please just leave the reservation alone, paid an Uber $40 to get to the private airport, walked in and got my car. Someone needs to let the Hertz reps know what they are talking about with regard to this private airport!
