The customer service at the barrington location is great! My car was very clean inside & out, also the price was great for a weekly rental! I will do business again in the future.

I always rent from the Barrington, IL office, even though it means driving a long ways and passing several other Enterprise offices along the way. The staff here is amazing, they care about their customers personally, and they go the extra mile and out of their way. Thank you for being so great and providing a personalized experience.

I rented a Ford Transit 150 to move some furniture. This was my first time driving this kind of vehicle. Everything was clearly explained to me. Return was quick and easy.

It was a great experience overall with easy pickup and drop. However there was some confusion with the rates and drop off. I was charged a weekly rate and was told that it would be adjusted if I return the car early. This wasn't done when I tried to return the car. I was also told that I will be charged extra if I drop the car at the airport but was later told that this wasnt the case. It was like different people giving different information.

I reserved a pickup truck, a day or two in advance to pick up at 5PM on rental day. Mid-day that day, a local Enterprise rep called me and asked me if I did indeed want a pickup truck. I affirmed my request, and asked him if there was an issue. He said no, no problem at all - he would have no problem getting one. OK great awesome thanks, bye see you then. When I got to the rental place, of course they did not have the pickup I requested and offered other options. So why in the world would he call me and do all that just to disappoint me later? He gave me a very lame excuse that larger vehicles were needed in another area due to a storm and then rented me a Ford Expedition. No, you just didn't get my car from another location like you said you would. He offered me a discount, I said no just give me fuel instead so I can not have to stop and fill it up at the station. On top of this, I had to wait almost an entire hour just to get my rental. On top of not getting the car I reserved and then was assured I would get, I got to wait while other customers were being served and for some reason I couldn't be. When I went out to get the vehicle, it was filthy. So filthy that I took pictures. I have never rented a car that looked like someone went mudding in it before. But the interior was OK and I had to head out for my business trip so I just said whatever and rolled with it. Sometime later, the next day on my trip I discovered someone's cell phone and garage door opener in center armrest console of the vehicle. Knowing that I would not want to have left my phone in a vehicle, I called to let them know I found a phone. I waited on hold for at very least 10 minutes, likely more. They close at 6PM so I left the keys with the front desk staff. There was a huge line at the front desk, I was like OH MY WORD NOT AGAIN so I went up beside it and just asked the guy where I put the keys - the hotel staff guy was totally cool and luckily he just took the keys and quickly handed me a clipboard where I put my name etc, left it on the counter and took off. I really doubt I will rent from this location ever again unless I'm absolutely desperate. I'll go somewhere else, or likely just go to IAD (airport) and pick something up.
