Montreal is a somewhat tough city to find your way around in. The Dollar rental location is at 159 Rue Saint-Antoine Quest. Sound easy...BUT 159 is a mall and it takes up one full city block. Don't go in the Mall, go to the Parking Garage for the Mall on Saint-Antoine. There is a small entrance next to the garage and that is where you will find the Dollar counter. Very easy from here on into both pickup and, more importantly, return. Very good rate and a decent car.

The car was fine but because of the brand, the care is not good, and the wash is made minutes before the pick up. However, service was ok. But the holding reserve money is excessive.

How old do you have to be to rent a car in Montreal?

Generally, to rent a car in Montreal you must be at least 21—the same as it is across most of the country. However, you might need to pay a surcharge if you're under 25. Be sure to read over the supplier's terms to determine any additional fees is before you book your rental.

Almost all countries require the driver to have insurance. You may be able to purchase temporary coverage with the rental car supplier. Many credit cards (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover) will provide some coverage.
