Easy pickup not many cars. The staff were friendly and easy to work with. The only thing that was iffy was the car was dirty (outside). That was the only issue.

They cancelled my reservation without notification. I was not late picking it up and only found out when I called 15 minutes before my reservation to say I was on my way. They were sold out and didn't even offer another car or location at first. 2 weeks later, I'm still contacting Avis to get my refund from a $600 reservation that was only supposed to be $68.

Was supposedly renting a Rav 4 or similar. When we arrived at rental center, therewasNO information telling to call for ride to another location. Kind shuttle gave the info. Ended up with a cargo van with over 70,000 miles, Many scratches and dents, scratched windshield, smashed back up camera, one radio station,broken radio knobs and we needed to put air in all tires about 50 miles out of the airport and one continued to leak. Gas tank was not full. Why did we even accept? We were on a schedule and did not want to be driven back to car rental site( this was about 10-11 blocks from the “real” car rental site at Midway. Was not told what we would be getting this vehicle until after all paperwork was signed. Counter help was surly and unpleasant. In all, a real mess. Fortunately, we got to our destination and back without incident. NEVER rent from this dishonest business. Reporting to Chicago and Illinois Better Business Bureau. The other couple that arrived with us refused their cargo van and was left to find another rental vehicle.

The rental car was terrible. No USB ports for phone charging, the radio couldn't pick up radio stations. Transmissions problems.

Pick up was difficult. There is not a contact for AVR at the rental car center and they would not answer the phone to arrange pickup.

radio didn’t work, tire was half flat, awful customer service at the rental counter, this is the first negative review i’ve ever written about anything in my life, i couldn’t get far away enough from this place.

Too long waiting entire waiting room was almost full with people complaining of the wait...I rented a small suv but was told they didn’t have it so had to get a minivan. If I had known I couldn’t get money back for an early return I would have selected another company since I had to rent first then get reimbursed for someone that hit me. Bad experience

I had a confirmed reservation with AVR-Airport Van Rentals by Midway Airport in Chicago, Illinois. I arrived at the counter of AVR, on time at 2pm December 24, 2019 , I read off my confirmation number to the rude female who explains all reservations were cancelled due to NOOOOOO cars being available. Previous renters did not return the vehicles so they not have any to rent out. She also said they had been turning away people all day because they haven't had any cars come back. I saw a family come in and pick up a vehicle but the rude female said they prepaid for the car so their car was available and that she made phone calls the previous day to customers. That was a LIE!!!! I never received a phone call or a voicemail from them. The other female customer service agent informed me that despite the double rate ($80 per day) they were charging people still did not return the cars. She suggested the other car companies but the counters closed at 2p and the cost was double what I would've paid with this company. I had a SUV for 8 days for $271.....
