My experience with AVR was one of the worst in my travel history. When I made the reservation it appeared they were at Midway but they are not. When you arrive at the rental car area there is no AVR, just a sign-with no phone number. Employees of other companies had to tell me to call but they didn’t have a number. Another lost traveler had gotten a number to AVR at OHare and calls were made. Why would a company not even put their phone number to the pick up location??? AVR didn’t have the vehicle I reserved and it made. it difficult for me as I am disabled. The van they gave me was dented all over, had more than 75,000 miles on it and it was not clean and smelled bad. The seats were stained. The tire light was on when I got it and an airbag alarm kept going off. The office where we picked it up was dirty and the standard of this company is way too low.

I was given a car with a leaking tire, asked why the low tire light was on and was told because it was cold. I had to refill the tire 6 times, it had a leak. A piece of rubber trim around the windshield was loose and started to come off at high speeds, slapping the roof of the car...sounded like I had a flat tire. I tried to refasten it but it came loose again and I just tore it off instead of listening to the noise.

First, the rental place AVR was at least 3 miles away from the airport. Very difficult to contact. Driver friendly and was nice enough to drive us back when we divided using AVR. While there, car reader on representative’s computer went out. Waited but she could not fix it. Decided to use Hotwire to book another rental as the driver drive us back to the airport.
