Carrental.com made our trip really bad. We booked Van about 2 months ago and AVR canceled while we are traveling to LA with no alternative option just a day before the booking. This is one of the worst service I ever had. This was my first time using carrentals.com and we are regretting it. Imagine 12 people visiting LA without a car. Opening a case/complaint also did not help, I was ready to pay double the amount for van but there were none available. AVR should get zero stars and carrental.com for not enforcing AVR to honor the booking. ZERO STARS

DO NOT RENT from this place unless you wanted to be left without a rental!! I had a standing 10:00am reservation for last Thursday 2/21. I arrived 30 minutes early just to make sure I could get in and out in a timely manner. The sign on the window showed they opened at 9:30am but no one arrived. I thought they might be running late, but when they didn't show up by 10:15am I called their toll free number and advised what was going on. The rep advised me that she had spoken with the manager to the location and he would be calling me in 5 minutes. I refused to take that as an answer and asked her what the point of his call would be, I just wanted to pick up my rental. She stated that there was someone at the location and maybe they were just in the back. After 15 minutes of waiting for the managers call. I called AVR back and this time was told that they don't know what is going on and everyone in the office was scrambling trying to find out. I demanded to speak to a manager to find me another location with a van. The manager NEVER picked up the phone, but the rep advised that they found a rental in Long Beach and it would be ready to go when I arrived. 30 minutes later, I arrive in Long Beach to be told the rental is not ready it would be another 30 minutes. As of today, I still have not received a phone call from a manager at AVR rental explaining why the location never opened.

Slightly confusing instructions, hard to reach through phone, but once there in person the two people in charge were understanding and helpful, and worked with me get my rental despite having a mixup with the original vehicle, which was especially helpful as I was a last minute booking and was rushing to leave. Not what you’re expecting, but good price.
