The Vacaville, CA Enterprise location made renting vehicles impossible for my wife and I. The clerk informed me that my credit card was declined but when I called the bank and they told me it was clear for the transaction, the clerk informed me that she could not re-run the previously declined credit card. I offered to have her speak with the credit card rep but she refused to do so. I then asked my wife to use her credit card to rent the vehicle, but the clerk informed her that Enterprise cannot accept it because her credit card's name did not include her married name as shown on her driver's license. My wife then provided a second form of ID, her US Passport, with both her birth and married last names but was told that was not sufficient. My wife then tried to use her debit card with a visa logo that included the exact match name to her driver's license but was also told they could not use a debit card because the vehicle we had on reservation was too "big". I am not sure what the underlying reasons were for this terrible experience but when I searched yelp afterwards, I realized that the super majority of the comments regarding this business was extremely negative. It looks like the clerks are going out of their way to make it impossible for many customers to rent from them.

I experienced excellent customer service. I traded my vehicle with a different type of vehicle from the initial rental with no hassles. The vehicles were clean, smoke free and just overall an excellent experience. Will be using them again…. Too easy not too!
