Super bad experience. Waited over an hour to get to the counter. After completing the transaction, waited another 30 min to receive the car. Received a very dirty car, both interior and exterior super dirty. Front seat had white stains from liquids and most probably sweat. They said they gave me a full gas tank, Luckily i had a picture of the 3/4 full gas tank before i left the garage. When I returned the car they wanted to charge me 140 for not bring it as full , showed the picture as prooof. Never hertz again . Also, It took me an hour to find the car drop off site.

My expert was difficult. I waited a long time due to confusion on terminal 1 or 2. Then they told me to wait to get the car - it was an hour plus . After the car was retrieved- I was charged more money.

There seemed to be some system issues as the pc rebooted and all info had to be reentered. The GPS device didn’t work and another had to be set up. We had difficulty being unfamiliar with European cars- had to look up how to operate gear shift on You-Tube-even agent didn’t know how to use auto-manual shift. This last comment should be viewed as an opportunity for Hertz as the manual was in Italian. A summary card with pics would have been most helpful. The car itself was very nice and we had no issues tooling around beautiful Italy for two weeks.
