Booked well in advance and let them know we were going to Florida with family and that we had coupons. When talking to customer service after booking they said to take coupons to counter at time of pick up. Counter told me I had to do it at booking, felt like I was getting the run around. Finally just said forget it I have 6 kids that are expecting to head to Florida and I need the rental. Picked it up and there was still candy in it from previous customers. Half way to Florida the car said it needed an oil change. Called customer service and they wanted me to go get an oil change in it (6 kids in this thing and they do not want to go to get an oil change). Asked about compensation for the inconvenience he said there was nothing. Customer service is a joke, absolutely no help. Made it to Florida and my husband checked the oil to make sure we could make it home before we left Florida. Return was great, no problems there but Avis is now the absolute last resort to rent from for us.

When she realized I was black she had every excuse on why she couldn't rent to me. I will never use this company again!

It was posted online for 139 bucks for 4 days of car rental so we flew down to Tampa from Michigan. Got there and the had over 350 dollars in fees that we zero clue about. It really screwed us because we were on a budget. Our great grandma was passing to it was a last minute trip and sixt charged us outrageous prices that didn’t even come close to matching the online price. I will never go to sixt car rental and I wouldn’t recommend them to my worse enemy. Thank god we had some family in Florida to stay with because they took all of our hotel money. The employee Chris grennell was very helpful and kept his cool when I was very mean to him and upset with the hidden fees! The employees are very nice but the way the company hits you with hidden charges is very bad for business and they will never have my business ever again. It’s been two days and still haven’t received my deposit back.
