I will not be renting with Avis again. Maybe I was a little naive for not realizing that Avis is a lower end, not respectable rental option with an initial lower price and a bunch of hidden fees. I have never in my life encountered a rental company that charges a late fee for extending your rental and does not have a weekly rate. My bill was quite a bit higher than it would have been had I gone with a higher end, more reputable organization. This feels like the difference between Capital One and Amex- one includes an enormous, exploitative poverty tax.

Everything about the rental was good except for two things. One, when I picked up the vehicle I asked if I would have to pay extra for EZPass to go thru tolls, which I was willing to do. I was told that the car already had EZPass built in. What they did not tell me was that I had to flip a lever to activate the EZ pass, and since it was located on the passenger side, I did not see the instructions posted on the lever. The result is that I'm probably going to have a lot of fines to pay over the next month or so. I'm not happy about that, especially since I was not told about how to access EZ pass when I specifically asked abpit Two, I was told I had to return the gas tank full but it was at the Airport, I was coming from the highway and though I had filled up the gas tank before I got on the highway there was no gas station between the highway and the airport top off the tank. This cost me another 19 dollars.

Very long to pick up the vehicle in the garage Not full car, we had to call, take pictures, etc. I returned the vehicle with more gas than when I took it and I was graciously entitled to a credit of $ 4 ...
