No one identifies scratches or dents on the car or checks the car with you. Not even shown anything on paper document. Off you go you’re on your own. Having paid the full rate of insurance I wasn’t particularly bothered. On return of the car there was a scratch below the rear passenger door on the skirting which I didn’t see on pick up nor damage while driving. I was told I had to pay for this and after some argument they accepted and no payment was incurred. I understand having paid full insurance I was clear but the view of the returning receptionist was different. The documentation I had, section in English and not especially well written but in my understanding covers such damage.
Whether the scratch was there when picking the car up I can’t definitely say but with full insurance I believe i was covered. I think the documentation needs more clarity to avoid unpleasant experiences at return of vehicle.

we hired the car to go around rio in brazil. when we returned it they charged the washing of the car. first time it happens in years of car renting!

My experience was so,so, just one attendant at night, long line, I took 1 hour and 30 minutes to be my turn.

ALLIANZ -Global Assistance: I was told by local Hertz agent this policy DOES NOT cover collision, loss or damage to the car I rented from HERTZ, on Bonaire. Consequently I wasted the $72. I paid for the policy. This promotion was made on the Hertz site.DECEPTIVE
