I would have given 5 stars, however; I had to travel to an alternate location to get a car. I was traveling to Cleveland for my father's funeral. I made a reservation online for a car at the Detroit Metro Airport location which is the closest location to where I live. When I arrived, I was declined my reservation because of two reasons: 1) I did not have a flight receipt, and; 2) My Credit Union debit/credit card With the VISA logo was not accepted there. I was forced to drive to an alternate location that is considered a Local Location in order for my card to be accepted to rent the automobile. The service I received from the second location was excellent and I was very relieved from what had started to become a very stressful situation for me. I was already dealing with the death of my father and was afraid that I would not be able to attend his service at all from the policy at the airport rental location. I do not understand why this was an issue at all. Why the difference in your ONE company at Different locations? I am grateful that the professional staff at the Livonia, MI store were so wonderful and they took great care of my need for transportation quite expediantly. They alleviated my stress and concerns from my experience at the airport center. A big Thank You to the professionals at the Livonia, MI Enterprise Car Rental store. I wish I could say the same for the staff at the airport but I cannot. I think this should spur a conversation about your different policies at differing locations. I would never write such a lengthy review for anything at all. If it takes a death to start a serious rethink of your policy then at least I might have done some good here. Again I thank the Livonia, MI staff for their professionalism. I was the only blood relative in attendance to my father's funeral. He was a military surgeon and was given military honor, and; I was given his flag. I can only imagine my if I had not been able to be there. This would be a review of an entirely different tone. I chose a low cost option which would have put me in a pick up, but when I asked for a change, they were quickly accommodating.
