My experience with the this establishment went well. I think the vehicle I was given had been in a accident, but it got me there and back safely. It wasn't the best ride I've had. After completing all paperwork, I was led out and shown the vehicle. Upon my initial visual, I notice the vehicle was extremely dirty on the outside, but the inside had been cleaned. One of the reps. was out assisting another customer and I politely interrupted her to show her the damage to the front bumper and inquired as to why the vehicle was so dirty. She very quickly apologized and when she was finished with the other customer, she took the vehicle to the car wash. I waited in my vehicle for her to return but I really didn't sweat it because I had my mind set on a NO stress weekend getaway :-). Service recovery came when I noticed they gave me a very nice discount on my rental and I didn't even have to fuss about it. As a matter of fact, I didn't even have the chance to inquire as it was Sunday when I returned and that particular branch was closed. I would have given a 5 star if not for the rough sound of the vehicle and the wait for the wash.

Reserved my car online, received confirmation number, and Hertz has no idea I'm coming. Further, Hertz did not have the paperwork in that location to complete the manual rental and the employee had to call another store to authorize the rental over the phone. All of this was done very slowly, 45 minutes from arrival to out of the parking lot. The car had numerous scratches and defects to the body and finish, obviously the worst on the lot. None of that ended up being a problem, but it always raises the question of whether the receiving member of the Hertz team will try to say the damage was caused by you. That did not happen to me. In fairness, the car ran well and got me where I needed to go. It did smell foul, like mildew. In short, I got a abused, stinking car that I had to wait for even though it was preordered and the store had functioning computers. Not likely to give Hertz any more money and buyer beware.
