The car rental desk was overloaded. I was #10 in line. Staff was polite and expedited the line down to me within 15min. Car was clean and I got an upgrade.

I recently rented from the palm springs airport and the experience was the worst I have had and I rent frequently from enterprise. when I picked up the car the lady gave me the keys and I went out to the car. The area at night is very dark but the car looked ok so I took it. Nobody came to inspect with me which was unusual but I went along with it. I got to my room and the hotel had better lighting so i walked around and noticed a large scratch on the side. I immediately contacted the location and they were good. they noted it as I did not want to be blamed for the scratch. I also noted that I went to put my gps in the glove box and found a bunch of parking receipts an old itineraries from the last renter. No big deal but they missed cleaning it. A couple days later the check oil engine light comes on. Not a big deal again but another issue. Then the real big issues came in. I was in northern california and switching hotels and went to put the bags in the trunk and noticed the plate had a 2017 tag. so I went into glove box and found the insurance. it was over 7 months expired. that is just unacceptable. so for the next 2 days I am trying to avoid cops and hoping that I have no ticket or get towed every time I stopped. My family and I then had to a take a day out of our vacation to back track to palm springs to return the car for a new one. The guy who checks the car when you return them couldnt believe the plates and chuckled about it and was a nice guy however the girl at the counter could have cared less. I was given a 2nd car which was a good car but the lack of inspections on the cars they are renting is alarming.

My experience with ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR Company at the Palm Springs International Airport was horrible!!! Instead of Enterprise charging the total amount of $67.83 they billed my credit card for a WHOPPING $575.53. Very un-American!!!
