The person at the customer service booth was terrible. He carried on a personal conversation (discussing where he likes to travel, politics etc.) for 20 minutes with the customer ahead of me and just made me wait there while he had this conversation which in turn made me late to my meeting that evening. He didn't even apologize for it.

We had made a reservation for a Nissan Versa or equivalent and we got a small Toyota Yaris with 40,000 miles at the odometer, without remote control to lock the car, with a central locking system that was not working, a fuel tank that was not full. And the car was not even clean. When we dropped off the car, we were supposed to receive the final invoice by mail. As we had not received anything after 20 minutes, I had to get back to the Hertz station to hear that they were not able to find my rental file, neither with my name, nor with my driver's licence number. They finally found it because the car was still on the parking lot and I was able to show it to the agent. And nobody said anything about the fact that I had received a car with 1/8 of the tank empty, and brought it back with a full tank. Who is going to reimburse me ? Sorry but Hertz is close to the 0-level in terms of service. How can Carrentals propose rentals with such a low-level company ?
