My experience with this supplier went totally wrong. I arrived at the rental desk expecting to pick up my insured car etc. and even though I brought my paperwork with me and showed it to a non-English speaking office manager / they told me 3 things. 1st the insurance I was asked to prepurchase was worthless in the DR and to call you and cancel it. 2 even though the car was said to take 5 people and 4 suitcases - this was not possible and I was given the bait and switch of $118 to now an SUV and my cost went up to $400. As far as I am concerned I would never recommend this company to anyone, and the fact that my account now has a $25 cancellation fee for pure frustration and aggravation on my part just makes me angrier. angry. Perhaps fraud might be a better description of the operation.

I booked my vehicle online thru CarRentals.com. When booking the vehicle, there was a link on the page for insurance coverage through a 3rd party, for which I paid $99. When I got to the counter at POP, I was informed by Abigail that this insurance is not valid in the Dominican. So, I wound up paying $119 more for insurance. When we reviewed the car at the time of rental, I was told the fuel read 6, which in my mind meant 6/10 of a full tank. I was told that I needed to return it at that amount or pay a premium in fuel. I returned the car with 7/10 (it's hard to gauge how much fuel to put in at the pumping station, but I erred on the side of caution and returned the vehicle with more fuel than I rented it with. When I returned the car, the rental agent, who was awfully slow, said that I had returned the vehicle short on fuel. He said that a full tank is 6, not 10 like the rest of the world. He therefore charged me for what he said was the short fuel. As for the service, it should not take 30 minutes to pick up or return a car at an airport if you made arrangements ahead of time. This is my honest assessment

I had to drive to a different airport to change the car to the size I made the reservation for. Also I had to pay double of what I had shown in Rentalcars and the service was quite poor.
